Zelluna ASA (OSE:ZLNA), a Norway-based company pioneering allogeneic "off-the-shelf" T Cell Receptor-based Natural Killer (TCR-NK) cells for the treatment of cancer, said on Tuesday that it has been awarded a NOK16m grant by the Research Council of Norway under the Innovation Project for the Industrial Sector (IPN) scheme.
This funding will support the company's ongoing Phase 1 ZIMA-101 clinical study of its allogeneic TCR-NK cell therapy platform for the treatment of solid cancers.
The IPN scheme supports research-driven innovation projects in Norwegian industry.
Zelluna said the grant provides funding for its Phase 1 clinical programme and recognises the innovation of its TCR-NK platform and its potential to address unmet needs in solid cancer treatment.
The award remains subject to final contract negotiations with the Research Council of Norway.
