The board of directors of health care company UnitedHealth Group (NYSE:UNH) declared a dividend of USD1.08 per share of the company's common stock, it disclosed on Friday.

This cash dividend is payable on 17 December 2019 to shareholders of record at the close of business as of 9 December 2019.

UnitedHealth Group said it is dedicated to helping people live healthier lives and helping make the health system work better for everyone.

The company offers a broad spectrum of products and services through two distinct platforms: UnitedHealthcare, which provides health care coverage and benefits services; and Optum, which provides information and technology-enabled health services.
