American Society of Consultant Pharmacists names next president-Elect

The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP), an international professional association that provides education, advocacy, and resources to advance the practice of senior care pharmacy, and that represents the interests of consultant pharmacists who work with elderly patients, has named Jeanne Manzi, PharmD, BCGP, FASCP, and director of Long Term Care Clinical Services, as its next president-Elect, it was reported on Wednesday.

Dr.Manzi is to serve in the role of president-elect from November 2021 to November 2022, and will then serve as president of ASCP from November 2022 for a one-year term.

Dr Manzi has held the position of the director of LTC Clinical Services at Managed Health Care Associates Inc. She has extensive experience and background in consultant pharmacy and servicing long-term care facilities from both a dispensing and consulting perspective, in addition to research and publishing on senior care topics. She is a licensed New York state pharmacist, a Board-Certified geriatric pharmacist, fellow and previous member of the board of directors of ASCP and a member of the Geriatric Specialty Council for the Board of Pharmacy Specialties.
