As part of the announced consolidation, the company’s prostate cancer vaccine Prostvac will be produced in future at the Kvistgaard facility where clinical trial material will be developed as well. Hence, the production facility for clinical trial material for MVA-BN-based vaccine candidates in Berlin will be closed.
The consolidation will require limited investments since the Kvistgaard facility already has the needed capacity to support Prostvac production.
The move will further reduce Bavarian Nordic’s dependence from subcontractors by allowing it a more flexible manufacturing approach.
