23 January 2012 - NovaBay Pharmaceuticals Inc (NYSEAMEX:NBY), a US-based clinical-stage pharmaceutical company engaged in the development of synthetic anti-infective product candidates, said on Monday that it has selected a number of organisations to manage its Phase IIb clinical trial of NVC-422 for the treatment of adenoviral conjunctivitis.

This study is expected to enrol up to 450 patients at investigational sites in India, Brazil, and the US. Enrolment is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2012 and if the Phase IIb study is completed successfully, NovaBay would start seeking a partner for Phase III registration studies through commercialisation.
