Bioiberica to develop cartilage regeneration therapy - report
11 January 2013 - 11 January 2013 - Spanish biopharmaceutical firm Bioiberica has launched a project for the development of a cartilage regeneration therapy through the implantation autologous chondrocyte.

The company aims to hire a researcher who will lead the project and a team to work with him, Spanish news website IDEA quoted the CEO Josep Escaich as saying.

The project will be developed as part of a cooperation agreement signed by Bioiberica with the healthcare council of the region of Andalusia last year.

Bioiberica will carry out the research at the clean room of the technology innovation complex CMAT in Granada.

The company is focused on the development of cell therapies for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoarthritis.
