Life sciences and diagnostics company Revvity Inc (NYSE:RVTY) on Thursday launched the GSP T1D 3plex kit, a fully automated, CE-IVDR-certified multiplex autoantibody detection solution designed to support population-wide screening for children at risk of developing type 1 diabetes before symptoms appear.
The solution uses capillary dried blood spots for scalable sample collection and processes samples on Revvity's high-throughput GSP newborn screening platform.
The end-to-end workflow combines reagents, instrumentation and software to identify at-risk individuals months or years before symptoms, potentially enabling earlier intervention and disease-modifying treatment.
Revvity said the kit is designed to support emerging national type 1 diabetes screening programs and expands its diagnostic offerings from newborn screening into early childhood screening.
The company will present details of its T1D on-site installation and off-site testing services, developed with Sanofi S.A. (Euronext Paris:SAN) (Nasdaq:SNY), at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes meeting in Milan, Italy.
The GSP T1D 3plex kit will initially be available in Europe and markets that accept CE IVD-marked products. It is not FDA-cleared in the United States.
