French competition watchdog makes pharma sector priority in 2013 - report
15 January 2013 - 15 January 2013 - The French competition watchdog has identified as a priority for 2013 conducting a study of the situation in the country’s pharmaceutical industry, the regulator’s president Bruno Lasserre said in an interview for daily Le Figaro.

The main objective of the watchdog is to verify that there are no obstacles to the development of generic drugs in France.

We have in mind a number of issues, Lasserre said, without disclosing further details.
Speaking more generally, we want to analyse and review the chain of price formation in France, Lasserre noted.
