3 February 2012 - US medical device maker Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE:BSX) today said it had received CE Mark approval of the Infinion 16 percutaneous lead for its precision plus spinal cord stimulator (SCS) system, a rechargeable device for chronic pain management.

With the CE Mark grant, Boston Scientific will be now able to launch the Infinion 16 lead, available in the USA, throughout Europe immediately.

SCS leads deliver electrical pulses from an implantable pulse generator to the spinal cord to mask pain signals to the brain.
