2 February 2012 - IntraOp Medical Corporation (PINK:IOPD) said on Wednesday that the German Supreme Court had ruled in favour of the company, upholding its patent for a mobile IOERT linear accelerator with "straight through" accelerator guide design without a bending magnet with a slight clarification.

IntraOp Medical's European Patent EP 0 700 578 covers for Germany an electron linear accelerator treatment device, which is suitable for Intra-Operative Electron Beam Radiation Therapy (IOERT). The court maintained the patent with a slight revision to explain more clearly the device.
