Alcami, a North Carolina-based contract development and manufacturing organisation, has named Ken Domagalski as its new executive vice president of Drug Product Operations and Elliott Franco as its new vice president of Laboratory Operations, it was reported on Monday.
Domagalski has more than 35 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, of which 20 years were with Teva Parenteral Medicines. He has served in many executive roles and headed global organisations with hands-on experience including validation of systems, equipment, cleaning, product, and processes in support of facility start-ups and new product introductions. He has been instrumental in the design and build out of multiple facilities and has played a critical role in the expansion of an isolator-designed manufacturing facility in Morrisville, North Carolina. He has headed various successful FDA, EMEA, MCA, and other international cGMP inspections.
Franco has more than 18 years of industry experience. Most recently he was vice president and site director at Cambrex's Durham North Carolina site. Prior to joining Cambrex, he was the executive director of Analytical Services at Avista Pharma and held technical roles at Nektar and Scynexis.
