Applied BioMath, a company focused on applying systems pharmacology and mechanistic modeling, simulation, and analysis to de-risk drug research and development, has named Kas Subramanian, PhD as its new senior director of Preclinical Modeling, it was reported yesterday.
In this role, Subramanian will work with pharmaceutical and biotech teams to build fit-for-purpose mathematical models that help drive decisions in drug development.
Prior to joining Applied BioMath, Subramanian headed the Bioinformatics group at Syngene International. Prior to Syngene, he was chief scientific officer at Strand Life Sciences Pvt Ltd. He headed the Collaborative R&D group for immunology products at Entelos and has also worked at Genetic Therapy Inc (Novartis). In 2015, he was elected as a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering.
