The new vascular arm head will be in charge of a global 4,000-staff organisation with revenues of USD1.4bn (EUR1.1bn), Covidien said in a statement. She will report directly to Peter Wehrly, currently holding the post of senior vice president and group president of the Respiratory & Monitoring Solutions and Vascular Therapies divisions.
Stacy has strong experience in "leading and growing businesses" combined with deep knowledge of the vascular market which make her "ideal" for this post, Wehrly said.
Enxing Seng became part of Covidien in July 2010, when the company took over US ev3, a provider of technologies for the treatment of vascular diseases, for USD2.6bn.
Earlier, Stacy took different positions at Boston Scientific (NYSE:BSX), SCIMED Life Systems Inc, Baxter Healthcare and American Hospital Supply. She has an MBA degree from Harvard University.
