19 January 2012 - Spanish Noscira, part of Zeltia (MCE:ZEL), said in a filing with the national stock market regulator CNMV on Wednesday that it will axe 23 jobs.

The affected employees are mainly part of the company's research and development (R&D) department.

The move is in line with the firm's strategic plan. Zeltia has a 63.67% stake in Noscira.

In September 2011, Noscira unveiled a capital increase of up to EUR4m (USD5.16m) seeking to finance studies of Alzheimer's disease.
