19 January 2012 - US-based Sirona Dental Systems Inc (NASDAQ:SIRO), said on Wednesday that Nicholas Alexos and Timothy Sheehan resigned from the company's board of directors as of 18 January 2012.

Alexos and Sheehan have been on the board since June 2006 and both were appointed by the Sirona Holdings Luxco SCA, the investment firm that bought Sirona in 2005.

After the latest departures, the board will consist in six independent directors and three members of the Sirona management team.
