Physiomics plc (AIM: PYC), a mathematical modelling, data science and biostatistics company, announced on Mondy that it has secured its first biometrics contracts and appointed Jesse Thissen as Head of Biometrics, marking a strategic expansion into clinical biostatistics and statistical programming.

The contracts, valued at a combined GBP111,000, were awarded by a UK-based clinical-stage biopharmaceutical firm developing immunotherapies. Each contract supports a separate active clinical programme and will run for an initial 12-month period from July 2025.

Effective 1 July 2025, Jesse Thissen will lead the company's biometrics division. With experience at AstraZeneca and across biotech, consumer health and CRO sectors, Thissen will oversee delivery of the new contracts and drive growth in this emerging service line.

Physiomics' new biometrics offering will initially focus on biostatistics and statistical programming, with data management capabilities under consideration for future development. This expansion complements the company's core expertise in mathematical modelling, data science and its proprietary Virtual Tumour technology.

The addition of biometrics capabilities strengthens Physiomics' position as a partner for biopharma companies seeking to optimise clinical trial design, execution, and regulatory submission.
