SOHM boosts dermatology product offering in India
31 January 2012 - US-based generic pharmaceutical maker SOHM Inc (PINK:SHMN) said on Monday it was launching five additional dermatology products in India by February 2012 that are estimated to increase its overall revenues by 55-60%.

The latest additions include Mixona-3 for mixed skin infections, Noyte for dandruff, Acnobenz 2.5 and Acnobenz 5 for acne vulgaris, and Silconan-4, combining silver suphadiazine with chlorhxidine glucoante 4% which is a powerful bactericidal in cuts, wounds, and localised burns.

The Indian pharmaceutical market, which is currently valued at USD10bn (EUR7.6bn), is expected to grow in double-digits over the medium term. The Indian dermatology segment, valued at USD513m, rose by 21% in 2010 contributing to the overall growth of the domestic drug market.
