FDA okays Lannett's Hydrochlorothiazide Capsules, 12.5 mg
31 January 2012 - US generic drugs maker Lannett Company Inc (NYSEAMEX:LCI) said on Monday it had obtained approval in the US of its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for high blood pressure treatment Hydrochlorothiazide Capsules, 12.5 mg.

The product is therapeutically equivalent to the reference listed drug, Watson Pharmaceuticals' (NYSE:WPI) Microzide Capsules, 12.5 mg.

According to Wolters Kluwer data, sales of Hydrochlorothiazide Capsules, 12.5 mg, at Average Wholesale Price (AWP) were about USD204m (EUR154.7m) for the 12 months to October 2011.

Lannett said it expects to start shipping shortly.
