3 February 2012 - German high-tech company Jenoptik (ETR:JEN) said on Friday its Optical Systems unit will broaden its partnership with Draeger Safety, part of German medical safety technology company Draegerwerk (ETR:DRW3).

The collaboration between the firms will be focused on the development, production and supply of optoelectronic system solutions, Jenoptik said. Jenoptik will develop and manufacture integrated optoelectronic modules, systems and equipment for Draeger.

The first concrete agreement on a three-year project with a value in the lower single-digit million euro range has been already concluded.

The parties have already sealed a cooperation agreement in the fourth quarter of 2011.
