CRO's ResearchPoint, Anaclim Team in Endocrine Services Expansion
3 March 2015 - - US-based contract research organisation ResearchPoint Global has joined forces with US Anaclim, a CRO focused in the development of biopharmaceuticals and medical device products aimed at the treatment of diseases that disproportionally affect ethnic minorities, the company said on Tuesday. This union brings together two veterans in the healthcare and CRO industries. John V. Farinacci, CEO and founder of RPG has over 30 years in providing support services to the biopharmaceutical and medical device industries. Alfonso J. Alanís, MD brings 29 years of experience as a senior pharmaceutical Lilly executive responsible for delivering new products to the marketplace and as co-founder of Anaclim. Alanís will be the chief medical and development officer at RPG and will be on the board of directors of the company. In addition, he will continue to function as CEO of Anaclim during the integration of the two organizations. The current Anaclim offices will remain in Carmel, Indiana. ResearchPoint Global is a clinical research organization based in Austin, Texas and with 22 offices and coverage in over 60 countries. RPG provides a full range of Phase I to late phase development solutions. The company's current focus has been in providing full service or functional service support to the small to mid-tier biopharmaceutical and medical device industry. RPG's sister company, ResourcingPoint, is a resource management organization providing qualified, independent clinical monitors and other qualified professionals to assist clients with functional service needs. Anaclim LLC, founded in 2005, is a privately held, full service CRO based in Carmel, Indiana, dedicated to the execution of clinical trials in diseases that disproportionately affect minorities and to increase the participation of minority patients in clinical trials.
