The company noted that this is the first bile acids kit that is based on targeted metabolite quantitation.
The product is intended for the standardised analysis of 16 human specific and 19 mouse specific bile acids from sample sizes as small as 10 µL designed for research use. The kit uses ultra high performance liquid chromatography and electrospray tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) and allows rapid and highly effective sample extraction on a 96-well patented filter plate.
In order to provide accuracy and precision, the product is offered with a set of calibration standards, isotope-labelled internal standards and quality control samples, as well as has been validated to guidelines of the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
