27 August 2014 - 27 August 2014 - US pre-clinical contract research organisation SBH Sciences said Wednesday it had added to its service offering Connecticut-based CyVek Inc's newly launched CyPlex immunoassay-testing platform.

CyPlex is a fully automated, multi-analyte bench top immunoassay system featuring a microfluidic cartridge that allows the analysis of multiple biomarkers from very small amounts of biological samples, as well as an analyser. The system provides "sample-to-answer" accurate test results in a sealed disposable device, which makes it useful for multiple clinical applications and routine life sciences research.

SBH Sciences president and chief science officer, Dr. Raphael Nir, noted that the company is the first contract research organisation to offer the CyPlex system to its customers.
