In the new role, Northcott will develop and lead the commercialisation of the company's products, with initial focus on telotristat etiprate for carcinoid syndrome. He will proceed with preparations for the initiation of Phase 3 clinical trials of LX4211 in type 2 diabetes and complete the Phase 2 programme of LX1033 in irritable bowel syndrome.
Recently, Northcott has served in commercial roles with Genentech and the Roche Group, including the most recent role of international business leader for Genentech/Roche's Avastin.
Previously, Northcott has worked in a variety of therapeutic areas and commercial positions at Merck and Pfizer.
