18 June 2013 - 18 June 2013 - Danish diagnostics company BioPorto (CPH:BIOPOR) said today it had added its Monkey NGAL ELISA kit to the firm's animal NGAL product portfolio for animal research.

A standard laboratory with ELISA equipment will be able to analyse various sample materials thanks the new Monkey NGAL ELISA Kit, the company added.

The monkey or non-human primate is an essential experimental model for medical research, as it is close to the human physiology.

NGAL is a biomarker that determines acute kidney injury and is often presented as a candidate for the use in pre-clinical testing industry.
