18 June 2013 - 18 June 2013 - Swedish biopharmaceutical company Immunicum (NASDAQ: IMMU) said today that the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has granted the company prolonged SME-status, extended by one year with possible further extension.

The status offers faster handling in cases that involve the EMA as well as considerably lower fees. The purpose of the SME department at the EMA is to promote development and innovation of drugs in small and medium sized companies.

Immunicums develops cancer immunotherapies, including its Subcuvax and Intuvax vaccines.
