22 May 2013 - 22 May 2013 - US-based molecular genomic testing specialist Empire Genomics LLC said today it had obtained an exclusive licence for a genomic biomarker to be used in a molecular diagnostic test for neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC).

The company licensed the patent-pending DNA biomarker from Cornell University.

Empire Genomics said further that it will introduce a genetic test for NEPC later in 2013 and that it will pursue a partner to use the assay for speeding up patient stratification in clinical studies.
