22 May 2013 - 22 May 2013 - US diagnostic company Cancer Genetics Inc (NASDAQ:CGIX), specialising in oncology-focused personalised medicine, said Tuesday it would supply proprietary tests and testing services in hematological and urogenital cancers to domestic provider of healthcare cost management solutions MultiPlan Inc.

Cancer Genetics president and chief executive Panna Sharma said the deal is a ''tremendous opportunity'' for the company to further strengthen its position in cancer diagnostics, as well as to provide the potential to streamline reimbursements.

MultiPlan contracts with 900,000 healthcare providers in the country and its MultiPlan network products have about 57 million customers.
