Boehringer Ingelheim and Eli Lilly and Company receive Marketing Authorisation for Jentadueto
26 July 2012 - Boehringer Ingelheim, a pharmaceutical company, and Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY), a corporation that is developing a growing portfolio of pharmaceutical products, have announced today that that they have received marketing authorisation from the European Commission for Jentadueto(r) tablets.

The tablet is a medicine combining the DPP-4 inhibitor, linagliptin, and metformin in a single tablet taken twice daily.

The company has received the approval from the European Commission for JENTADUETO for use alongside diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes who are inadequately controlled on their maximally tolerated dose of metformin alone, metformin and a sulfonylurea, or those already being treated with the combination of linagliptin and metformin.
