26 July 2012 - Northwest Biotherapeutics Inc. (OTC.BB: NWBO), a biotechnology company focused on developing immunotherapy products to treat cancers, has announced today that its German partner, Fraunhofer IZI, has received the official approval and certification from the regional and national regulatory agencies in Germany for the production of the company's DCVax(r)-L immune therapy.

The therapy will be used for human patients with Glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer.

Cell therapies, including immune cell therapies such as DCVax(r)-L, are categorised as 'Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products' in the European Union.
