11 June 2012 - Lorus Therapeutics Inc. (TSX:LOR), a clinical stage cancer drug development company, has announced today that it has completed its earlier announced private placement of 20,625,000 units.

The units are priced at a subscription price of USD0.32 per unit. Each unit includes one common share and one common share purchase warrant.

The company has generated gross proceeds of USD6,600,000 from the private placement.
